Tailoring Center is for young ladies who are still involved in prostitution.  This is to motivate them to learn an alternate skill to support their family instead of resorting to prostitution.

LOVE MOTHER & CHILD PROJECT

GIRIJA, AGED 29, has been married for 4 years. Her husband is a coolie who earns Rs. 30/- per day. Although he is kind and good he is not able to meet the needs of his family with his meager earnings. Girija had many miscarriages. She went to the village doctor for treatment but to no avail. Our staff prayed over her and found she was demon possessed. Prayer in the name of Jesus brought deliverance. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and attends Sunday worship regularly. She is now 6 months pregnant. Girija needs good nourishment. We would like to provide monthly rations and a nutria-packet containing a powdered mixture of whole grains.

PADMA, 26 years old is 6th months pregnant. Her husband used to work as a coolie. Due to some family feud his brothers beat him up so much that he is unable to go out to work. They got out of his parents house where they used to live as a joint family. Now they are living separately in a hut. Padma looks very pale and undernourished. So is her one year old daughter. They are badly in need of food.

BEEBIJAN, 20 years, grew up as an orphan under grandmother’s care. When a mass marriage was conducted by some organization she was given in marriage to a Muslim man. Although Beebijan was very interested in the gospel and learned to pray to Jesus, she has to be a secret believer to avoid getting into trouble. Her mother-in-law who is the boss of the family does not give her any freedom. Beebijan got pregnant immediately after her marriage and is now in 8th month. She works as a labourer on the farm. She needs good food and health care.

HANUMAKKA, has three young children, youngest being the 5 month old male child Santhosh. Her family is very poor. Her husband is a drunkard and irresponsible. Little Santhosh is healthy and active. Hanumakka comes for prayer and unloads her burdens before the Lord. Her need is for good food and bedding for the baby.

PADMAVVA, is the mother of 6 month old male baby Fakiresh. Padmavva is physically not strong. She conceived 4 or 5 times but always gave birth to stillborns. The six baby Fakiresh was born by c.section. The father is blind and not able to support the family. Padmavva does some odd jobs on the farm but as she is weak and feeds the baby she does not have much stamina for hard work. She does not show interest in prayer but it is necessary to encourage her family to come to Jesus. The help and care give through our project will create interest in them. Food rations and baby clothes and bedding are badly needed by Padmavva and her son.

RATNA is the mother of 4 children. Her youngest is Kiran who is now 14 months old. Kiran’s is weak and suffers from health complications. The doctor suggested monthly tests for him but the family being poverty stricken has no money for medical bills. Recently he almost died due to diarrhea. Ratna accepted Christ as her personal Saviour in June 2008. She attends prayer fellowship whenever she can. Kiran needs help with his medical check-ups and also nutritious food.
